Shipping Policy — Cain's Bedding & Waterbeds

Free shipping
We offer free standard shipping on most accessories, parts, and small items when your order total is $75 or more (before tax). Free shipping applies to items that can be boxed and shipped via UPS or FedEx — like waterbed conditioner, heaters, liners, sheets, parts, and most accessories.
Large items — mattresses, waterbed systems, furniture, and adjustable bases — require freight delivery. See below.
How we ship
Small items & accessories — shipped via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Most in-stock orders leave our Hartford, IL store within 1–3 business days. Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days from shipment.
Water mattresses / bladders (sold alone) — shipped drained and flat via standard parcel. Same timeline as small items. You fill it at home.
Mattresses, waterbed systems, furniture & adjustable bases — these ship by freight carrier (LTL). They are large, heavy pieces that require a freight truck. Please allow 1–3 business days to process plus 5–10 business days for freight delivery. Freight timelines can vary based on your location and carrier scheduling.
Freight delivery options
For big and bulky items, we offer four delivery levels. You'll choose at checkout:
Curbside — the carrier drops your item at the curb outside your home. You bring it in. Best for buyers with help available.
Threshold — the carrier brings your item to the first dry, covered area (front door, porch, or garage). Still in packaging. No room placement or assembly.
Room of Choice — a two-person delivery team carries your item to the room you choose, including up stairs. Item stays in its packaging.
White Glove — our most complete option. The team carries the item to your room, unpacks it, assembles/installs it, and removes all packaging. We also offer haul-away of your old piece (ask when scheduling). White-glove pricing is quoted at checkout based on your item and location.
Local delivery & waterbed setup (Hartford area)
If you're in the Metro-East St. Louis / Hartford, IL area, ask us about local delivery with full waterbed setup. Our team delivers, assembles the frame, installs the safety liner, places the heater and bladder, fills it, and adds conditioner — everything done right so you can sleep on it that night.

Shipping address & accuracy
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If you need to update your address after placing an order, contact us immediately at (877) 474-9196 — we can often make changes before the order ships, but cannot guarantee it.
Tracking
Once your order ships, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. For freight shipments, a freight carrier may contact you to schedule a delivery appointment. Please respond promptly to avoid storage fees.
Damaged shipments
Inspect all items before signing for delivery. For freight orders, note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork before signing. Refuse delivery of severely damaged items — we'll replace them at no cost and handle the carrier claim. Report concealed damage within 3 business days with photos.
