Sleep Enhancement Technology™
The benefits of the Sleep Enhancement technology are numerous. The pulsation of a single vibe motor placed in the mid-back area provides an even, Total Body Vibration. Studies show medical benefits of Total Body Vibration include increased circulation, muscle strength, and flexibility; better range of motion; and faster muscle recovery after physical activity. Other health benefits include increased bone density and reduction of the stress hormone cortisol. Higher levels of cortisol increase alertness, making it more difficult to relax into sound sleep. Frequently Asked Questions
Will my Comfort Base work with an innerspring mattress, hybrid mattress, air mattress or foam mattress?
Yes. Glideaway Comfort Bases are compatible with most innerspring, hybrid, foam, and air mattresses of any brand.
If you prefer an innerspring mattress, it is important to note that mattresses with a border wire are not compatible with Comfort Bases. If possible, we suggest purchasing your mattress and the Comfort Base at the same time to create a personalized sleep system that works well together.
Can I still use my headboard, foot board and side rails with the Comfort Base?
In many cases, yes you can. The bases are made to fit within industry-standard size beds, similar to a standard box spring/foundation and steel bed frame. The base easily attaches to most standard-size headboards and a headboard bracket kit is available for all models of Comfort Bases. Different leg heights are available as well so you can adjust the height of your base.
What is does the feature “Wall Hugging” mean?
If a Comfort Base has the Wall Hugging feature it does not move away from the wall or nightstand as the head inclines. Instead, it moves up along the wall, keeping the nightstand within reach.
What is the Sleep Enhancement feature?
Sleep Enhancement utilizes Total Body Vibration created by a single vibe motor placed on the underside of the base, in the mid-back area. The vibrations ease you to sleep and provide you with health benefits like increasing circulation, alleviate muscle fatigue, and reducing stress hormones. It also created a white noise effect, blocking out noises that may interrupt your sleep.
